The PCC Team is on the loose!
It’s been an exciting two weeks with the Parks Climate Challenge crew. After gathering everybody in Seattle, we took off for the North Cascades Environmental Learning Center to pack for our first camping trip.

This was just one of the many firsts we’ve celebrated on the trip so far: first camping trip, first s’mores,
Refining our s’more technique
first time seeing snow in the summer, first time seeing a glacier,
Mt. Baker from Anderson-Watson Lakes
first time dipping in a creek, just to name a few.
Rinsing off after a field bath
We also celebrated birthdays,
Hannah’s first time with trick candles
interviewed 4th-of-July parade-goers, taught lessons on global warming,
PCC students working with Kulshan Creek neighborhood students
hiked up Sauk mountain, and toured a powerhouse. Tomorrow we head out for a 6-day stint on Ross Lake and the upper Cascade River. Stay tuned for further adventures!
